A visit to the RSPB managed, Ramsey Island is one not to be missed. Where highlights should include Chough, Peregrine Falcon, Seals and a range of autumn migrants. Perhaps even something rare, such as a Lapland Bunting, anything can happen in October!
The trip will be led by Dave Astin of West Coast Bird Watching. As well as knowing Pembrokeshire intimately, Dave is renowned for his ability to identify birds which he will be sharing with you during the 2 days. A chance not to be missed, to spend time with one of the leading birders in Wales. “[Dave is] a guide who exceeded all expectations and who quite simply MUST be the most knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic birder in Pembrokeshire at least”
Prices are £65 per person (under 16s £55) Price includes landing and boat fees.
The trip to Ramsey is weather dependent, as the boat does not travel in poor conditions. If we are unable to make the trip we will try to make alternative arrangements to visit other locations in Pembrokeshire and provide transport. We can provide packed lunches at a cost of £6. Although Ramsey is relatively flat, we do recommend that you have some basic fitness as there are numerous steps up from the harbour. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for all weathers.
