Based around 3 locations near Newport (Ceibwr/Pentre Ifan/Bwlch Gwynt Car Park)
Dafydd, our dark skies expert will give you an introduction to night photography. Bring your camera along or try one of his.
We aim to experience the best of the night sky just before sunrise when we hope to see the Milky Way core arching south to east across the sky, experience colours of Mars, the Sagittarius region, Andromeda galaxy(Messier 31) and the Summer Triangle constellation.
Please remember to pack camping chair, warm layers and a head torch.
This activity will be weather dependant.
*A decision will be made 24 hours in advance as to whether the event will take place.
If the weather is not on our side and we cannot see the night sky, then we will hold a night time photography session in a local church and work with the light coming through the stained glass windows.
